Recognizing Americans Who Impacted Our Country is an important task that needs to be done. Many individuals from the beginning of our country play a role in what our country has become today. The impact these individuals in this book played can still be felt today and we need to remember them and others for history sake

This book is about recognizing Americans who had significant contributions to our country. The list of names was selected based on their contributions to our country not who they are. It is not meant to be a complete list but one that provides some recognition of their impact to our country. Many of the names do not often get the recognition they deserve and some appear to get no recognition at all, if any. It is important to give credit where credit is due. In recognizing the individuals in this book it is important to identify the impact and accomplishments associated with these individuals.

In presenting and discussing the information for each individual it is important to note that there are all kinds of contributions by many individuals but they often, if ever, get the recognition they deserve. This book is a small token of that recognition. It is hoped that the reader of this book understands the contributions provided by the individuals covered in this book. Some readers may not agree with the choices while many others will understand why they were chosen. The information covered about each of the individuals discussed in the book may surprise the reader to some extent. While we may recognize some or most of the names addressed in the individual chapters it is important to make a statement.

The information provided and any comments it must be understood that the information is available on multiple sites on the Internet.. History is important to our country and it must be preserved for future generations. The information presented by each of the individuals in this book is another opportunity to preserve some historical information. It appears to some extent information covered about curriculum in our schools that history information presented may not be complete or accurate. This book is one small opportunity to preserve factual information regarding these individuals and their impact on our country. The accomplishments, impact and little known facts about individuals in this book may surprise a number of individuals who read the content being covered. The method being used in presenting information provided is not about listing their accomplishments but why their accomplishments made a difference and impacted our country. When writing a book such as this and any future one (s) on the same topic it is important to present a different approach. As individuals we all can make a difference just as these individuals have done and how they impacted our country is something we can learn from.

My approach involves identifying my perspective on the contributions of these individuals. Just presenting the information does not do it justice we must understand why the actions were significant at the time and why they matter today. It is not about presenting for the information provided from various sites but understanding the actions or events. Some information may be directly from a site and in these cases quotation marks are provided.
